Kvulo LorinDear Tetso family

A college degree from Tetso College is not something that can be bought, it cannot be taken nor can it be given. It can only be earned. Congratulations #Tetso 2021 for your excellent result and all the staff, students’ parents and Tetso family that helped make this happen. We have secured a gold medal every year since 2015 and we expect this trend to continue.

While we celebrate this achievement, I want to be clear about one thing – Our focus is not about the gold medals alone, nor is it the plain pursuit of excellent results or a degree. The friendships you make here, the skills you will learn, the events you participate in and even your visits to the canteen are part of your Tetso Life. It is so important to surround yourself with people who believe in you, inspire you, and can challenge you. It’s equally important to encourage others in the same way. Being a part of this institute means we need to do both as we seek to fulfil the college’s mission to empower ourselves through lifelong excellence.

However, excellence and success is not about achieving a degree, it is about doing something with your learning and experiences. I believe that every one of you has a role to play in this. People are what drives change. It is people that can alleviate poverty, it is people that can create jobs, it is people that can end corruption, violence, hunger and it is people that can make the world better. I hope that everyone at Tetso remembers this and always supports one another while studying here and even after graduating.

Above everything else, remember that we are part of the Tetso family and everyone here is rooting for your success. People should be proud of Tetso because you are a success and not proud of you because Tetso is a success. We consider you a success when you are able to live by the college vision to create a positive impact in our world.

Best Regards
Kvulo Lorin
