A Memorandum of Understanding between Tetso College and NIELIT Kohima focuses on the skill development of our students while offering a variety of ICT courses. Currently, Tetso College Sovima campus offers free computer certification classes that have been approved by NIELIT Kohima.

NIELIT Kohima boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure, fostering excellence in the field of Information, Electronics, and Communication Technology (IECT). Alongside imparting knowledge through teaching and training, NIELIT Kohima actively engages in cutting-edge research, development work, consultancy services, and software development. Established in 2004, it operates as a distinguished national-level technical institute, falling under the umbrella of NIELIT – an autonomous scientific body functioning under the Department of Electronics & Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India.

‘O’ Level (1 Year)

The O level certificate specifically focuses on computer-related subjects and aims to assess a student’s knowledge and skills in areas such as computer hardware, software applications, programming concepts, computer networks, databases, and information systems. The curriculum for this certification typically covers both theoretical concepts and practical skills.

The objective of this course is to equip the student with the necessary skills required to further in the field of computer science, information technology, or related areas. It serves as a foundation for higher-level studies and may provide students with a solid understanding of fundamental computer concepts.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 10+2 or ITI Certificate (One Year) after class 10 followed, in each case, by a NIELIT accredited ‘O’ Level course.

Duration:

The duration of ‘O’ level (IT) course is 520 learning hours and the minimum period to cover contents is one year for candidates undergoing ‘O’ Level after 10+2.

The CCC program covers various key areas, including computer software, operating systems, networking fundamentals, the internet and web browsing, word processing, spreadsheet management, presentation creation, database usage, and computer security. The certificate aims to enhance the digital literacy of individuals, enabling them to effectively use computers and related technologies in both personal and professional settings. It is suitable for individuals who are new to computers or those seeking to validate their existing knowledge and skills.

Computer Applications and Networking (6 months)

The Certificate course on Computer Applications and Networking is a program that provides individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to work with computer applications and understand networking concepts. It aims to equip students with practical skills in using various computer software applications and an understanding of networking fundamentals.

The course typically covers a wide range of topics, including computer hardware and software basics, operating systems, word processing, spreadsheet management, database management, presentation creation, web design, and internet usage. Students learn how to effectively use popular software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Multimedia softwares (Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Indesign) as well as gain familiarity with other relevant tools. In addition to computer applications, the course also introduces students to the basics of computer networking. It covers concepts related to network architecture, protocols, network security, and troubleshooting. Multimedia Developer certificate course is a specialized program that provides individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to work in the field of multimedia development. Multimedia development involves creating and integrating various forms of media, such as graphics, audio, video, animation, and interactive elements, to produce engaging and interactive digital content.

In this course, students delve into concepts of interactive multimedia development through collaborative, hands-on projects and they explore interactive computing, the fundamentals of website architecture and development, interactive multimedia design and development. Multimedia developers might work directly with other multimedia design professionals, including Web developers, graphic designers and Web designers. They might develop 2D Animation,3D Animation, websites or even touch-screen kiosks using graphics,audio,and video and animation aspects.
