Clubs & Committees

1. History Club:

The Club provides a forum outside of the classroom for students interested in historical study, discussion, and debate, as well as organizing visits or tours to historical sites. 

Objectives:

>> To arouse students’ interest in studying History through organizing visits, video shows, and activities.

>>To promote students’ awareness of national identity and appreciate different culture and races of the world.

>>To train the committee members to organise activities for the club members and other students.

2. Writers Club:

“The Writers’ Club is an opportunity for students to exercise, promote and explore creative expression through the written word. The members of this club can be anyone who has keen interest in and talent of writing. The activities of this club involve creation of written material such as short stories, poetry, essays, articles, etc. By holding competitions and by displaying work produced by the students, we intend to inculcate and develop the skill of writing in students.”

3. Drama Club:

Drama Club focuses on enhancing the theatrical skills of the students. Its main objective is to impart knowledge about the art of theatre. It is not just any club but rather a club for all those who wants to enjoy the beauty and art of life.

4. Oratory Club:

The Literary and Oratory club is a place where students can meet to read and write. It is based upon using the creativity skills it takes to be a writer and the craft of writing.

The aim of the club is to inculcate among students a love for language and enhanced their literary skills, the club will provide a platform for; Debating- To encourage students to display their intellectual and independent thinking skills and imbibe a sense of confidence.

5. Sports Club:

The Tetso Olympic is the top body for all things related to sports at Tetso College.

The committee aims to promote sports, members of the Tetso Community to achieve district, state and national awards in the field of sports.

6. Dance Club:

“Dance is the only way to run away without leaving home”.

Tetso College Dance Club is open to one and all, irrespective of whether you know how to dance or not. We believe that anybody can dance, all you need is the heart to dance. Dance is a way to express one’s emotions and feelings.

Objectives:

>>To boost up the morale of students and to highlight the talent of dance and creativity.

>>To provide opportunities to dance lovers to prove and explore their artistic talent.

>>To promote values like equality, kindness, team work, discipline and gratitude through dance.

>>To maintain positive environment in the college.

>>To organize and participate in institutional level dance competitions.

7. Art Club:

TETSO Art Club is to inspire and enable our students to actively learn and develop their talent and skills that will develop artistic expression.

Objectives:

>>The art club provides a platform to the students to explore their creativity.

>>It also gives opportunities and freedom to the students to try new things.

>>To help the students to improve the imagination skill to express oneself freely.

8. Business Club:

Business Club is formed to orient students to the practical aspects of business management and enhancing student’s understanding of business aspects along with personality development.

9. National Service Scheme (NSS) & Red Ribbon Club (RRC):

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the student youth of 11th & 12th Class of schools at +2 Board level and student youth of Technical Institution, Graduate & Post Graduate at colleges and University level of India to take part in various government led community service activities & programs. The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community services.

Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by the Government of India in schools and colleges through which, students will spread awareness over HIV / AIDS. It envisages to instill charity mind among all the students to extend their able help towards developing healthy life styles, donating blood to all the needy by promotion of Regular voluntary blood donation.

10. Book Club:

Book club encourage students to meet, read and talk about books based on a topic or an agreed-upon reading list. The objective of the club is to promote the love of reading and encourage students to think critically about literature.  The club aims to take readers on a literary journey and explore the vast genre of literature. It is a Space for readers to interact with other readers and express their opinions. The club conducts activities such as book reading, storytelling competitions, discussions on varied genres of books etc. Readers who are interested in sharing their love for reading with others are encouraged to join the book club.
