Tetso College held its 3rd Post Graduation Ceremony on the 7th of September, 2024 at Lorin Hall with Mr. Kvulo Lorin, Chairman, Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation Limited (NIDC) as well as the Director of Tetso College, as the commencement speaker of the event.
The august gathering began with a congratulatory message by the Principal, Dr. Hewasa L Khing to the outgoing PG students, batch of 2024. She focused on the MA Programme being a foundation to build a future that goes beyond the teachings of a classroom. She further encouraged the students to grab opportunities to continue on the path of creating a positive impact on the society and to keep striving for excellence in their future endeavors.
Miss Putusenla Jamir of M.A. Political Science who secured 2nd Rank in the Nagaland University PG Exam 2024 with a CGPA of 7.94 was the class valedictorian. Miss Jamir recounted her fulfilling journey that pushed her to look beyond just the theory of what was taught in class but to also apply it in the real world.
Mr. Kvulo Lorin, the commencement speaker for the evening began his speech with enquiring what each of the graduates’ goals were as a child. He encouraged the students to pursue their dreams and not limit themselves. Recounting his experiences of how failure led him to learn new things in his life, Mr Lorin emphasized on the importance of learning from the failure and to embrace it instead of fearing it. Mr Lorin, while quoting Mr Conan O Brian reiterated on how failure is what ultimately defines us and makes us unique. He encouraged the Naga community to not fear failure and the stigma attached to it but to rather learn from it and push through because failure leads to profound invention.
Altogether, a total of 19 students from the Department of Political Science and Department of English successfully completed the Masters’ Programme.
