Department of English, Tetso College released the 5th edition of its Departmental ebook titled “Echo” on 2nd February 2019 on the occasion of Scholastic Day.
Echo is a beautiful compilation of the artistic talents of the students of Tetso
College. It has poems, short stories, art, paintings, photography, and articles. As the names suggest, the eBook is entitled ‘Echo’. True to the title, each submission beautifully captures its theme. To cite some of the work that stayed with me, the poem ‘A Souvenir’ truly reflects the poet’s helplessness and the unattainability of
pure things, like the innocence of a child or the beauty of a flower.., of which he
symbolizes to his ‘queen’, whom he admires and longs for, but the queen is
unaware of his feelings and the attributes that embody her. The reiteration of constant wistfulness and laudation of the poet is exquisitely echoed in the poem. Subsequently, the art in the book stands out with each piece bettering the other.
