Tetso College has established dedicated cells to support and empower students from Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Minority communities, ensuring their holistic development and well-being within the academic environment.
Minority Cell:
The Minority Cell focuses on empowering students from minority communities, including Christians, Muslims, Jains, Parsis, and Buddhists. Its main objectives are:
Enhancing Educational Opportunities: Provide equal platforms for minority students to access quality education.
Facilitating Holistic Development: Support academic, social, and professional growth to ensure comprehensive development.
Awareness of Financial Support: Inform students about various government scholarships and financial aid available to them.
Encouraging Skill Development: Motivate students to enroll in courses and workshops that enhance their career-related skills.
Grievance Redressal and Counseling: Offer a platform for addressing grievances and provide counseling for emotional support.
The Minority Cell collaborates with other college committees to organize lectures and interactive sessions, raising awareness about constitutional rights and available government schemes. The current coordinator is N Chuhyem Konyak (nchuhyem@tetsocollege.org).
SC/ST/OBC Cell:

Protecting Rights and Interests: Ensure that SC/ST students’ rights are upheld within the college community.
Promoting Inclusive Education: Create an environment where SC/ST students can pursue their studies without discrimination.

Awareness Programs: Conduct sessions to inform students about their legal rights and available support systems.
Both cells actively work towards creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere, enabling students from these communities to thrive academically and personally.
