Salvete 2024

Tetso College marked a significant milestone on July 12th, celebrating its 30th Salvete Freshers’ Day at the college amphitheater. The event was graced by the presence of Er. Khose Sale, Chairman of the Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Rtd. Chief Engineer, Power, Government Of Nagaland, and Member, Tetso College Governing Body, as the Special Guest.

In a heartfelt address, Dr. Hewasa L. Khing, Principal, Tetso College, warmly welcomed the freshers and encouraged them to embrace gratitude and honor the seed sown by the late founder, Principal Emeritus Dr. P. S. Lorin under whose visionary leadership the college has ascended to the pedestal of excellence.

Special Guest, Er. Khose Sale, in his keynote speech, exhibited his delight at being surrounded by such promising young minds poised to contribute to nation-building. He applauded the college for being a cut above the rest owing to its swift advancements in infrastructure, strong networking advantages and the rich array of opportunities it offers for both students and teachers to continuously upskill themselves through innovative learning techniques and prospects. Drawing inspiration from the Bible, he encouraged the students to seek and revere God, noting that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge and the foundation upon which all other achievements are built.

The formal session concluded with a prayer of blessing by Mr. Talinungsang, Assistant Dean, School of Computer Science, IT & NIELIT.

The celebration then transitioned to an informal session, where the Tetso College community witnessed a plethora of talent-brimming performances including rhythmic dances, soulful songs, electrifying beat-boxing, and the highlight of the evening—the crowning of Mr. and Ms. Freshers.

Winners of Mr Ethnic Wear and Ms Ethnic Wear, Kivika K Achumi and Ritsala Thonger, were triumphantly crowned Mr Fresher and Ms Fresher 2024 respectively.
