Theme:  Eunoia (derived from a Greek word meaning “well mind; beautiful thinking”)

Greetings from the Department of Psychology, Tetso College, Sovima, Dimapur! We are happy to invite you to its first Psychology Fest – Eunoia which is to be held on the 4th of March 2022 at the Tetso Campus Sovima. The purpose of the fest is to actively involve the psychology students for an all round development and to have a chance to interact with other psychology students and professionals from the State. We would really love to have your presence and are looking forward to your active participation.

Order of Events 

  • Inaugural Program ~ 10:00 am
  • Quiz Competition ~ 10:30 am
  • Ad Critique ~ 11:45 am
  • Charisma ~ 12:50 pm
  • Silver Screen ~ 1:35 pm

Details of the event items, rules and guidelines: 


1. SNAPSHOT (PHOTOGRAPHY) 

  • Individual/Group Event 
    • The photo must be in its original state and cannot be altered in anyway, including but not limited to removing, adding, reversing, or distorting subjects within the frame
    • Photos must be original and should not be edited using any software
    • Color/ black and white photos are allowed
    • The files must be submitted in a JPEG Format only
    • One participant can submit up to three photographs. Only one image per photographer will be considered for final judgment. Caption should be given for the photograph in a separate word file (not in photograph)
    • Can use any of the gadgets to capture the image (camera is not must)
    • Each digital photo file should contain the photographer’s name, the name of the college and also date & time
    • Entries will be judged by the experts and all decisions are final
    • The Institution reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules
    • The judges reserve the right to exclude any photo submitted which they believe may have been excessively edited
    • The photographs may be used by Tetso college for display or publication purposes, but when used so, credits to the photographer shall be given
    • Submissions will not be accepted once the deadline lapses

2. CHARISMA (PERSONALITY)

  •  Individual Event
  • One entries per department/ college/ school 

1st Phase –

2nd Phase – Three rounds.

  • Round 1- (Creative introduction)
  • Round 2 – (Depicting personality through a picture)
  • Round 3 – (Rapid fire)

Event Rules:

  • Sticking to the time limit is expected
  • Each round will have elimination
  • Use of foul language is not permitted
  • No arguments must be made with the judges

3. AD CRITIQUE (competition)

  • Group (2 participants each)from all departments/school/ colleges.
  • Time limit: 4+1minutes
  • Participants will be shown an advertisement which is to be criticized within the time limit.
  •  Last date for entries: 3rd March 
  • Advertising projects false images. For example, some ads imply that you’re not cool unless you drive an expensive car, that smoking means you’re an independent spirit, or that to be mature means drinking alcohol. You will be criticizing the respective ads shown to you. Examples of ad images:

4. Quiz : (Competition)

  • One entries per department/ college/ school
  • Duration – 30 minutes. 
  • Only team entries are eligible. 
  • A team shall consist of max two persons. 
  •  The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments. 
  • Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration. 
  • Stage rounds: The quiz will have 3 rounds totally

5. PSYCHODRAMA

  • Individual event/group
  • Time limit: 4 + 1 minutes
  • Topic should be related to the theme of the fest
  • The ideas conveyed should be original, plagiarism is not allowed
  • Imitating any personality is not allowed
  • Participants can use music if needed
  • Participants are allowed to use make up if required
  • Vulgarity and use of obscene language will lead to disqualification

6. Psychological Assessment Corner

  • Student and staff can come and get a psychological assessment on personality, IQ, anxiety, stress, etc

7. Food Picasso

  • Students from the Psychology honors will showcase their talent in different cuisines, pastries making, etc.

8. Compliment Box

  • Students and participants can send Messages, Compliments, and words of Encouragement on Cards (which will be provided); these messages will then be delivered to the person addressed.
  • The idea is to uplift the community by recognising and appreciating each other’s inner strength and beauty. 
  • No use of abusive language/foul language is permitted
  • No romantic or sexual messages; no comments on phyical appearance 
  • No inappropriate comments should be made that could hurt a community’s sentiments pertaining to their religious beliefs, race, sex, culture or heritage.

General rules:

  •  Each participant should carry identity proof.
  • Students taking part in the events should register on the day of the fest at the registration committee. On spot entry is not obliged.
  • Students should refrain from abusive language, obscene display and revealing costumes during the competitions, failing which they will be disqualified.
  • Smoking, drinking and consumption of any such ‘substances’ are prohibited.
  •  The judges’ decision is final.
  •  Participants should go through the event rules and adhere to the specifics.
  • Participation, props, music etc for certain events should be confirmed Preregistration if required by contacting the event committee.
  • A participant can participate only in one event during the simultaneous timings for events; a participant is not restricted to participation in any number of events as long as the event timings do not clash.
  •  All the events will commence at the scheduled time; Punctuality will be appreciated.
  •  Rules are subject to changes at the discretion of the Management/Organizers.
  •  Criteria for Overall championship include participation in maximum number of events as well as the total scores obtained in the competitions.
