National Commission for Women sponsored ‘Capacity Building & Personality Training Programme’ held at Tetso College
Tetso College organized a workshop on Capacity Building and Personality Training Programme sponsored by the National Commission for Women (New Delhi), on 11th of July in Lorin Hall. The programme was essentially for female undergraduate and postgraduate students to provide valuable training and development opportunities. Smti. Delina Khongdup, Hon’ble Member, NCW graced the occasion as the special guest. She delivered her address to the participants and emphasized on the importance of enhancing one’s capabilities which will foster and nurture the future. She was accompanied by Smti. Akokla Longchar, Member, Nagaland State Commission for Women.
The Inaugural session was chaired by Sungtinaro Jamir, a third semester student from the Department of Psychology. Ms. Lemya Konyak, Asst. Prof, Department of Sociology invoked the ceremony with a prayer, followed by an introduction to the NCW by Dr. Rosy Tep, HoD English. A briefing of the workshop was delivered by Anjan K Behera, Acting Dean, School of
English and Political Studies. The resource persons for the workshop were Anjan K Behera, Acting Dean, Dr. Rosy Tep HoD English, Dr. Jenny Lalmuanpuii, Dept. Coordinator Mass Communication, Thejasanuo Khezhie, Asst. Prof, Department of English, Prasenjit Bhadra, Asst. Prof. Dept of Commerce and Management and Viruno Yalie, HR Senior Executive.
Following the inaugural session for the Capacity Building and Personality Development Training Programme, Smti. Delina Khongdup, Member, National Commission for Women along with Smti. Akokla Longchar, Member, Nagaland State Commission for Women, also inaugurated Tetso College Women's Common room. This room has been set up by the College to provide female students and staff a space for recreation, relaxation, and informal discussions during their free time, and is also equipped with a Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine and incinerator.
