Culture Persistence

Those were the days
Blitheful past of yore,
practices still sojourn amongst,
for our identity it is.

Diversity in language,
varied faith in customs,
Magnanimous carvings,
are what it upholds.

Diverse celebration of festivals,
traditional cuisines and attires,
folk songs and dances,
Are what makes the nation unique.

For it signifies the Nagas
and their traditions,
and so persistence in them
is the sweet call.

Authenticity is what it represents;
preserving it is our sole duty,
for our culture echoes our pride,
and its intactness is in our hands.
