Ao Traditional Attire

The pictures were taken in my hometown Changtongya. It is a hilly town in the Mokokchung district of Nagaland. 

Contents: – 

  1. Tsüngutepsü (Male Shawl): Tsüngu which means Tree Fluid and Tep which means Paint and Sü which means Shawl (Worn by Men) 
  2. Etsung Su (Blue in Colour, Female Shawl)
  3. Teperem Su (Female Mekhela) 
  4. Azuk (Female Necklace) 
  5. Jung (Shield): Used by the male warriors to protect themselves when facing an enemy. 
  6. Nü (Spear): Used by the male warriors to kill an enemy. 
  7. Nok (Dao): Used for clearing or cutting bushes. 
  8. Nok Leptsu (Dao Case): Case for the Dao.
  9. Ozu Mie (Hornbill Feather)
  10. Chibu (Earthen Pot) 
  11. Kütsü (Casket)
