Alongside imparting knowledge through teaching and training, NIELIT Kohima actively engages in cutting-edge research, development work, consultancy services, and software development. Established in 2004, it operates as a distinguished national-level technical institute, falling under the umbrella of NIELIT – an autonomous scientific body functioning under the Department of Electronics & Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India.

‘O’ Level (1 Year)
The O level certificate specifically focuses on computer-related subjects and aims to assess a student’s knowledge and skills in areas such as computer hardware, software applications, programming concepts, computer networks, databases, and information systems. The curriculum for this certification typically covers both theoretical concepts and practical skills.

Eligibility Criteria:
- 10+2 or ITI Certificate (One Year) after class 10 followed, in each case, by a NIELIT accredited ‘O’ Level course.

The duration of ‘O’ level (IT) course is 520 learning hours and the minimum period to cover contents is one year for candidates undergoing ‘O’ Level after 10+2.
