Department of Sociology jointly with the Young Indians (YI), Nagaland Chapter organized a UGC National Seminar on the theme ‘Challenges and Issues of the Tribals in India’ on 24th and 25th of March 2017 at the College premises. Pro-vice Chancellor, Nagaland University A. Lanunungsang Ao (Rtd.) delivered the keynote address. The seminar comprised of four academic sessions which include paper presentations from academicians around the country such as Delhi University, TISS Mumbai, Puri Foundation, Gujarat, West Bengal and more. A Panel discussion was also held on the second day of the seminar with the main focus on challenges and issues prevalent in Nagaland.
