Director’s Message

Image from 2019 when a group of 5 students from Tetso College in Dimapur, Nagaland took up the Trash Tag challenge and posted their before and after results on Twitter and Instagram. The students, Ghuka K Aye, Kughaka Sumi, Helibo H Sumi, Vivikali Zhimomi and Atheli Zhimomi cleaned the market area of Chumukedima district.

After 2 years of pandemic and enormous disruption to our lives and our way of living, we are back on campus and in person. However, the world has changed irrevocably.

Tetso has also changed along with it.

• Our scholarship system has changed to include more need based financial aid that includes both college and hostel fees for all categories. We have increased the number of scholarship beneficiaries this year and hope to increase it even more in the coming years.

• We have awarded over 30 applicants this year. The thing these beneficiaries will have to do is they must be self driven and keep improving every year. This reflects a step towards our mission to empower people towards lifelong excellence.
We welcome The LightHouse Church to Tetso College campus through their Faith fellowship. This service is open to everyone for all students and families from any denomination, school, college or family. Come and be blessed. This is our effort to adhere to our vision to create a positive impact in the world.

• Nagaland University has adopted the choice based credit system, this means, it is now possible for say, a BA Journalism & Mass Com student to take up political science and a political science student to pursue Journalism & Mass Com paper and students will have the opportunity to change their electives every year. While it is too early to say how successful this system will be, the positive thing is that students at Tetso College now have more subject options and flexibility than ever before.

We are also grateful to God and congratulate our staff, students & alumni as all of you excel in your fields – whether it is securing admission in a top institution like IIM, securing a job to help your family, publishing a book or even coming to college regularly without bunking.
This is just the beginning but I hope all of us can come together and work together to empower people towards lifelong excellence to create a positive impact in the world.

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” – Mother Teresa
