The Department of Psychology is organizing a Workshop on Neuroscience on the theme: ‘The Many Facets of Neuroscience – Understanding your Brain, Molding your Path’ with Monika Chanu Chongtham, a Neuroscientist, Founder of Stresspunsch (a sci-comm ideation).
About resource person: Monika Chanu Chongtham is a young Neuroscientist, currently working on finding the mechanisms behind stress resilience. She did her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (2012) from Miranda House, University of Delhi. For MSc, she was offered various positions in the reputed institutes of IIT, NCBS and TIFR. However, she went to the United Kingdom to pursue her interest in the field of Neuroscience, owing to a generous funding by the British Council. Since then, she has worked in different institutes, including the Max Planck Institutes and Leibniz Institutes, in Germany to dig deeper into the field of Neuroscience. She is associated with many Neuroscience organizations, including the International Brain Research Organisation (IBRO). She is also the founder of the science communication channel “STRESS PUNSCH, IG|echelons.stresspunsch_101”, which was awarded a global engagement seed grant (2023) by the IBRO.
