The Tetso NSS Unit is organizing a webinar on the occasion of World Earth Day on 22nd April 2021 from 3:00 – 4:00 PM with resource speaker Nayas M., Faculty of the Department of Management, Annai Fathima College of Arts and Science, Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The theme of Earth Day this year is ‘Climate Action’.
About the Speaker: Nayas M (PG Statistics, M.Tech, MLM) is currently the Faculty of the Department of Management in Annai Fathima College of Arts and Science, Madurai, Tamilnadu. He has a brilliant academic record to his credit. He is also the IQAC Coordinator of the College. He has brilliant work experience in the industrial sector as well as the educational sector. He is currently a Life Member in Indian Society for Technical Education and Indian Society for Ergonomics.His articles and research publications have been published extensively in various reputed National and International journals. He has also published a book titled, “ Business Correspondence and Report Writing”. He has deep knowledge in the apparel and the logistics industry.
Introduction of the Topic: India has been ranked in the top 10 for the second year in a row in this year’s global Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI), which was released in Germany on December 7, 2020. As per experts, India’s long-term mitigation strategy should include a post-COVID green recovery plan, including reducing fossil fuel subsidies, phasing out usage of coal and better coordination frameworks between the central and state governments. The strategy should also include raising self-sufficiency by promoting domestic manufacturing in the renewable sector. One of the best ways to connect with the Earth is through cleanups! Go on a walk with a trash bag and help to clean up any plastic that you find. The climate changes as the controlling or significant factors need to be focused. The scientific ways and natural ways also can change the dimensions of climate, which would save the lifestyle of all human beings and other living beings in the mother EARTH.
