Sociological Imagination in our daily life

Everybody has the liberty and ability to imagine. Our imagination has the power to influence everything we do, think and create. It is the core that potentially leads to elaborate dreams, inventions, theories, and masterpieces in all walks of life.

Sociological Imagination was coined by the American Sociologist C. Wright Mill who emphasized on the quality of mind. It is definitely not limited to the sociologist or sociology student however it is the responsibility of all human beings to understand self and society around in our daily lives. Many problems of an individual have social roots which are related to the structure of the society. Hence it is necessary to understand how an individual’s biography is linked to the structure and history of the society. Mill therefore believed that being empathy and able to situate oneself in the social reality of others is the real essence of grasping sociological Imagination. In this webinar, we will be dealing with the importance of Sociological Imagination in our daily lives and how this concept can be practically applied our entire life.
