The IIIPR Cell (Innovation, Incubation and Intellectual Property Rights), Tetso College in collaboration with the Patent Information Centre, Nagaland Science & Technology Council would like to announce that it is organising a Webinar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) on the 20th November, 2021 (Saturday) from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

This Webinar welcomes the participation of all students, faculty and staff of Tetso College. However, It is mandatory for all BBA, B.Com and BCA students to attend the same.

About the Webinar:
The webinar aims to create an awareness of IPR and its importance not only for Higher Education Institutions but also for individuals who have the potential and desire to take up the field of entrepreneurship/innovation in future. It is, therefore, necessary for our students to possess the basic foundational awareness which will help them learn about the ways in which they can safeguard their creations, which in turn gives them a competitive edge over their peers. The resource persons will be covering two major topics – ‘An Overview of IPR’ and ‘Copyrights and its Applications’.

About the Resource Persons:
Ms. Gihukali Chishi, Technical Incharge at PIC, NASTEC holds a degree inB.TechFood Technology and have been dealing with IPR related activities and assisting in filing of IPRs in the state. She has given around 60+ awareness workshops on IPR in various Schools and Colleges, NGOs, Departments etc. She has facilitated in filing of GI of three Naga Shawls and is presently assisting in filing of Trademarks, Patents and GI. Ms. Gihukali also deals in Science Popularization activities and was a Coordinator for Sci-Connect program for 3 years.

Mr. Kekuneil Ltu, Scientist ‘B’, Biotechnology Division of NASTEC, has been working in the department for 10 years. He has given over 30 talks on IPR and has also been involved in numerous in-house projects related to studies and research in biotechnology and life sciences. At present Mr. Kekuneil is handling many ongoing projects as the PI and Co-PI.
