DOT Talks in collaboration with the Department of Political Science is organizing the second seminar in the DOT Talks Seminar Series ‘New Nagaland – A Step Forward’ titled ‘The Nagaland of My Dreams’ with resource speaker Amos Ezung, Chief Manager, Waste Management.

About the Seminar: My dream gives shape to my living. In this paper on my dream, I would like to highlight a few thoughts on the bright future for the Nagaland of my dream. I dream of a government that can provide fair health care benefits to its citizenry and help the people to become productive and competitive through relevant educational opportunities. I dream that each one of us would follow traffic, sanitation, and waste disposal (civic sense) rules as basic proof that we are aware of our part in society. My dream for my state Nagaland is to have positive thinking and love for the State. The belief that we Nagas can achieve our dreams for our beautiful state and hard work are important factors for progress. A better educational system and free of violence, terrorism, highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene will be maintained in the Nagaland of my dreams. Tribalism and Naga insurgents fratricidal killings be totally removed from the minds of people and have a mutual understanding. My dream is that there must be no corruption in Nagaland but love and respect for one another and our people must live with unity. Better connectivity in terms of roads not only in towns and cities but also in every villages. More on research and development for the Naga historiography and contemporary findings so that every citizen should be educated and literate. Farmers should have access to all the basic amenities of life. There should be respect for the law and fear of God by all Nagas. I also hope we will all rise, rebuild better and stronger. The urge to rebuild is primordial, but the most urgent matter that must be addressed today is the humanitarian crisis of the State. To maintain excellent service of our stunning landscapes, green pastures, snow-capped mountains, crystal-clear lakes and rivers making Nagaland one of the top attractions for tourism. For survival of all living things, water is crucial and for that we must conserve the fresh springs for today as well as for a better tomorrow. Without dreams, there will be no desire to pursue. There will be no objective to reach. So, strive hard and live your dreams. Like a mother who only has the best wishes for her children, I also dream of all good things for my beloved Nagaland. Come let’s join hands.
