Tetso College Women Cell and the Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee in collaboration with the Nagaland State Women Commission (NSWC) will be organizing a Panel Discussion and Poetry Slam on 2nd December 2019 (Monday) to mark the 16-day campaign protesting all forms of violence against women. This campaign is scheduled to begin from November 25 to December 10, 2019; November 25 marks the ‘International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women’, and the campaign will conclude on December 10, which is the Universal Human Rights Day.

In solidarity and support with this significant campaign, Tetso College aims to come together on to create a space for Discourse, Dialogue and Deliberation through a Panel Discussion on the topic, Creating Safe Spaces: Understanding Violence against Women.

Additionally, to mark this event, there will also be a Poetry Slam with cash prizes up to ₹ 5000 /- to be won.

The NSWC has forwarded the United Nations theme that uses the colour Orange as a unifying symbol that transcends race, culture, and place; and this year’s theme is Orange The World: Generation Equality Stands Against Rape. Keeping in view the theme of the event, interested students can email to confirm your participation in the Poetry Slam and details of your Name and Class can be emailed to alomi@tetsocollege.org and onen@tetsocollege.org, before 3 pm on November 29, 2019.
