About the speaker: Dr. Embassy Lawbei is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Media Studies at CHRIST (Deemed to be University). Prior to her teaching career, she worked as a news reporter for News18 Northeast, covering politics, culture, sports, and the Assam-Mizoram border conflict. She completed her Ph.D from Mizoram University while working as a journalist. Her research interest include conflict and communication, media and culture, war reporting, and she teaches subjects such as media, war and peace, media and human rights, intercultural communication, and sports journalism. Outside of work, she enjoys binge-watching series, watching sports, and exploring new cafes.
