Tetso College Higher Secondary invites all higher secondary schools to participate in the Interschool Debate and Singing Competition to be held on 2nd September 2022.

Total prize money worth ₹5000/- to be won
Registration: ₹100/- per event
Last Date for Registration: 30th August 2022

Rules & Regulations

Debate Competition Rules:
Topic: Social Media does more harm than good
1. Schools are requested to send at least two participants for Debate
Competition as participants will be divided into two teams, one team (the
affirmative) supports the motion, and the other (the negative) opposes
the motion.
2. Each participant will be given a maximum 5 minutes’ time to speak either
in favour or against the subject.
3. A warning bell will be given after 4 minutes and the final bell after 5
minutes.
4. If the participants exceed the allocated time then marks will be deducted
at the discretion of the judges.
5. Each team will then be allowed to speak in ‘rebuttal’, after a period of 5
minutes have been allowed for the teams to consult. Each team may
have one rebuttal speech each, or more.
6. Interrupting a speaker is forbidden.

1. Contents / substance
2. Oratory skills
3. Presentation skills
4. Clarity of thought
7. Confidence

Singing Competition Rules:
1. This event is open for both Solo and Duet participants.
2. Participants will be given a maximum time of 5 minutes.
3. Participants must bring their own instruments if required.
4. Participants are free to sing any original or cover song of their choice.
5. All genres are welcome.
6. Lyrics must be free of vulgar content.
7. Violation of the above rules will result in disqualification.
