With great delight and excitement the Department of History, Tetso College, would like to bring you History Fest 2019 under the theme ‘Naga Society: Past and Present.’
History fest is primarily intended to be pedagogic in nature taking learning outside the classroom through active participation by the students and teachers from the department. The focus of the fest, through the different events, is to delve into the Naga past and attempt to evince an understanding of the Naga society today and identify the transition, continuity and change.
Students from the Department of History will be taking part in oratory speech, storytelling, showcasing traditional attires and traditional song. There will also be a poster exhibition prepared by the students. The purpose of the events is to understand the meaning and context of Naga culture and tradition at different historical moments and to explore possibilities on some workable project in future.
