The Department of Education, Tetso College is organising a session on the topic ‘Place of Research in Career and Professional Development’ on 22nd April 2022 with resource person Dr M Rajendra Nath Babu, Assistant Professor, Department of Teacher Education, Nagaland University, Meriema Campus.
Abstract: Research Methodology is of high significance in the higher level of study. So, this session is mainly organised by keeping in view the significant impact of an effective research study by following the correct steps and procedures of a research during the course of study in future. The main objective of this session is to help the students to understand and get familiarize with the concept of research and to acquaint them with the knowledge of research methodology. It also aims to foster interest in the minds of student and to enable them to undergo further higher learning and prepare a research report through correct steps and procedures.
About the Speaker: Dr M Rajendra Nath Babu, M.A (English), M.A (Sociology), M.Sc (Psychology), M.Sc (Mathematics), M.Ed., M.Phil., Ph.D., UGC-NET (Education), JRF&SRF (UGC), is an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) in the Department of Teacher Education, Nagaland University. His Ph.D topic was on “Effectiveness of Advance
Organizer Model in attainment of Meaningful information and ideas of IX Standard Students in Mathematics”. He has contributed a few chapters in some of the Books, published by National and International Level with ISBN number. He also had a project on Impact of social media on Pre-service Teacher’s Academic Performance: A case study of Nagaland State. He has guided 6 Ph.D scholars, 2 MPHIL scholars, more than 45 M.ed, MA(Education), M.A (Psychology) Dissertations. He was a
membership in Academic/Professional Bodies in Life member Global Educational Research Association (G.E.R.A), Life member of All India Association for Educational Research Bhubaneswar, Life Member, Indian Association of Teacher Education (IATE).
