Emerging Issues in Indian Politics post 2014 General Election
The 2014 General Election heralded a new era in the Indian political landscape- the era of Hindu Nationalism bringing an end to what political scientist Rajeev Bhargava called a ‘composite-cultural-nationalism’. The 2014 election and the emergence of mono-nationalism indicated a clear break from the ‘composite-cultural-nationalism’ which existed under the ‘Congress System’. The end of the ‘Congress System’ and the consolidation of ‘Hindu Nationalism’ led to tectonic change in the political landscape of India. This change necessitates a new brand of scholarship to understand the nuances of the changing trajectory in the Indian political scene. Against this background, the department of Political Science, Tetso College is organising a round table conference to help facilitate conversations and debates on emerging political issues in India.

Papers are invited on the following thrust areas but not limited
